Gray, Maine
Community
Formally known as New Boston, the town of Gray is conveniently located between the state’s two largest cities, Portland and Lewiston. The town includes frontage on Little Sebago Lake, Crystal Lake and Forest Lake. Curious about Gray and some of the history, the Gray Historical Society’s museum is a great visit for any history enthusiast.
The town is in the middle of some big changes to come. A facelift with some exciting upgrades. One of which affects our Bed & Breakfast. In the future, there will be an addition of a side walk on Yarmouth Road. We are very excited about this addition to ensure the safety of our guests and to allow foot traffic more ease.
Random Facts
During the Civil War, a Confederate soldier’s body was accidentally sent to Gray. Instead of sending the body away, a statue was dedicated to the “Unknown Soldier” and later erected in Gray Village Center. The town of Gray sent more men to conflict, during the Civil War, than any other town in Maine.
